Parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in Slovenia on March 22, 2026. This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially elected by the National Assembly (Državni zbor) and sworn in as Prime Minister of Slovenia following the next parliamentary election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn in. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister is sworn in by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Slovenia; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Following the April 10 inauguration of Slovenia's National Assembly, where Resni.ca leader Zoran Stevanović's election as speaker signaled center-right bloc cohesion, traders price Janez Janša of the Slovenian Democratic Party at 68% implied probability to become next prime minister, buoyed by his party's 28 seats anchoring a potential 43-seat right-wing coalition with New Slovenia, SLS, and others for a majority in the 90-seat chamber. Jernej Vrtovec (11.6%) and Anže Logar (8.3%) emerge as compromise options amid negotiations, while incumbent Robert Golob's Freedom Movement faces exclusion despite its narrow plurality win in the March 22 snap election, hampered by prior scandals and a 40-seat center-left alliance shortfall. President Nataša Pirc Musar must soon nominate a candidate for a confidence vote.
