Exit polls from Datum Internacional following Peru's April 12 general election project Fuerza Popular (FP) to claim 41 of 130 seats in the new Chamber of Deputies under proportional representation, well ahead of Juntos por el Perú (22 seats) and Renovación Popular, fueling trader consensus at 97.5% for FP as the plurality winner in the returning bicameral Congress. Logistical failures delayed ballot distribution for over 60,000 voters, postponing ONPE's official tally to at least today, though Datum's track record bolsters confidence. Realistic challenges include regional recounts, vote challenges from smaller parties like APP or AvP, or disputes over extended voting periods altering seat distribution before JNE proclamation.
