Trader consensus implies a 44.5% probability for George Russell to claim the 2026 F1 Drivers' Championship, edging teammate Kimi Antonelli at 29.6%, as Mercedes has dominated the opening Grands Prix under new power unit and chassis regulations. Antonelli leads standings with 72 points after wins in China and the Japanese Grand Prix—where he converted pole to victory ahead of Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc—while Russell sits second on 63 points from his Australian GP triumph and a China podium. Russell's higher pricing stems from his experience adapting to the active aero and sustainable fuels era, amid emerging intra-team tension, with distant rivals like Max Verstappen hampered by Red Bull's reliability woes and Ferrari's inconsistent pace.
