Barcelona holds a commanding 9-point lead atop the La Liga table after 31 matchdays, with 79 points from 26 wins, bolstered by a dominant +54 goal difference and just four losses all season, pricing their title at 97.6% trader consensus. Their recent 4-1 derby victory over Espanyol on April 11 extended the advantage over second-place Real Madrid (70 points), who sit nine back despite a solid 65-29 record, while Villarreal trails further at 61 points. This positioning reflects Barcelona's consistent form and Real's inability to close the gap amid a grueling schedule. Realistic challenges would require Barcelona to suffer multiple defeats in their seven remaining fixtures—coupled with Real Madrid winning out—an improbable collapse given the leaders' momentum and home form.
